Orihuela has four adapted bathing areas on its beaches
The Councillor for Beaches, Ramón López, has visited the beaches of Orihuela that have accessible bathing areas for people with reduced mobility to be interested in the service. The beaches that have these areas are Cala Bosque (La Zenia), Playa de la Glea (Campoamor), Playa Barranco Rubio (Campoamor) and Playa Cala Capitán (Cabo Roig).
López has reported that “in these four beaches have been renovated facilities with new pergolas and platforms, which have a lifeguard trained to care for people with reduced mobility, as well as amphibious chairs and an adapted foot washer.
“With these accessible bathing areas, which allow users to make use of these facilities to enjoy a day at the beach, we also meet the request made by users through the Accessibility Table,” said the mayor.
Finally, the councilman stressed that “given the large influx of people to the beaches of Orihuela, at the posts of surveillance and lifeguard, there is available to parents bracelets identifying children in which will indicate the name and phone number of parents in order to prevent long-lasting losses.
