III Gastronomy Awards, organised by ‘La Verdad’:
José Antonio Giménez represents the fourth generation at the head of Venezuela, a restaurant that opened an Indian man lined with pasta that arrived from Caracas to Lo Pagán, more than half a century ago, and whose father did not want to take away the light (in those days it was a luxury) when he acquired it. So he kept the name until today. “Extreme quality, loyalty (Sinforoso, of the Albaladejo company has been providing fish to the family for 55 years; one year ago three waiters who had been in the house for 50 years retired…), and exquisite customer service” are the keys, according to Giménez, to this restaurant that is a gastronomic reference in the region, already recognized nationally.
To which must be added a team dedicated in body and soul to the work of four generations of families: “Without my uncle José Luis, head chef, and his wife, Obdulia; without my sister Emérita, who is my right hand; without my mother, Fernanda Hernández, and, of course, without the legacy of my father and grandfather -both Anastasio- all this would have been impossible”.
