The councilman of Social Welfare, Mayte Sanchez, presented this morning the fifth edition of the International Congress of Adolescence and Youth in conflict, to be held in the Auditorium of La Lonja, the next 21 and 22 November, organized by the council and the Association Praxis Vega Baja.The mayor, who was accompanied by the president of the association, Juan Manuel Fernandez, has indicated that “this is the second time that Orihuela welcomes this congress, aimed at professionals and students of the social-sanitary branch (psychologists, lawyers, social educators, social workers, social integrators …) members of social services, staff of the educational system (SPES, IES.Sánchez also said that “the quality of the speakers and of the speeches planned on this occasion has been a great impulse to motivate the interest of those registered”.As the president of Praxis Vega Baja said, “we have 80% of the registrations covered, coming from Mexico, Chile, Argentina and part of Europe, while the international speakers advise governments and the European Parliament on social action policies”. In this sense, he assured that the focus of this new edition is centred on “offering examples of good practices and alternative strategies to the resolution of conflicts between children and young people”.
